Building on a long standing relationship
We were first appointed by Yorkshire Water in 1995 to provide Project Management, Surveying, Architectural and Engineering services.
It has proved to be a fruitful partnership and ever since we have provided Yorkshire Water with a full range of services: managing projects for a wide range of property and asset types, including offices, depots, sewage treatment works, water treatment works, pumping stations and reservoirs.
- Project Management.
- Condition surveys.
- Asset Management Programme (AMP) asset surveys.
- New build offices.
- Design specification and procurement of alteration and repair contracts.
- Office refurbishment.
- Project appraisals.
In addition to one-off projects, were retained on a Term Commission, as Quantity Surveyors responsible for the procurement and management of the building Measured Term Contractors.
The range of services provided within this commission include:-
- Handling calls from operational sites and the instruction of the Measured Term Contractors via the Helpdesk.
- Tendering evaluation and procurement of building Measured Term Contractors.
- Highlighting site hazards and the associated health and safety risks
- The management of minor capital projects.
- Budget control by site and plant manager.
- Monthly cost and quality reporting using agreed Key Performance Indicators.
- Desk top checking of invoices and on-site auditing.
- Payment of contractors.
- Provision of Construction (Design & Management) Regulations advice and undertaking Planning Supervisor duties.
The approximate value of works managed under the Term Commission varies from £750k to £1200k.
